Assuming that Mary (Elizabeth) is your woman, she would have been 3rd generation Nova Scotian. It is
possible that their G-grandmother Dorothy Logan was part
Micmac. No info on this, but women were scarce in 1784 and
she would have been very able.A professional archivist worked on this for me for almost a year, and so I have great
confidence that this Mary was married to your Matthew B.
I came across two 'Mary Ellens' who would be nieces, one born 1890 and one born in 1900's , daughter of Thomas Logan
of Sober island. No info on the children you mention, as I followed the Logans.
Don't know where you are, but the Public archives ( PANS )
is the place to start and can do some online.
