Paul Logan 1/31/02
Paul, you are correct in your assessment about Napoleon Bonaparte Logan being extremely young to be in the 62nd Alabama Infantry. And I thought, just like you, that this must be the son of Ellis Logan. Then I had second thoughts about it when I found the below. Ellis Logan, as you know, was captain of Co. H., 13th Alabama. I believe his son Napoleon served in his father company. Thus it may be possible Napoleon Bonaparte Logan, son of John Logan, may have served in the 62nd. However, Ellis Logan’s son may have transferred to the 62nd after his father resigned for health reasons. At this time I am listing it separate to help me keep track.May be I will solve the mystery. Thanks for your additions. My e-mail is [email protected] if you would like to e-mail me. Take Care, Ron
