Hi John, My name is George Logan and i am from Northern Ireland,i have been doing my Logan Family Tree.The Logans did come from Scotland and the Logan seat ie. Estate is at presant for sale including the title in Scotland.The Logans Iam connected to come from Co. Antrim Northern Ireland around the Ballymena area a townland called Ahoghill,This would be were you would find most of the logan name in all of Ireland.
There is a John Logan in my tree Born 1620-30 he was a brother of my gggggggg Grand father Who was a William Logan This family line came from Lurgan in N.I.around this time the Logans moved to Ahoghill 1650-60An other brother of James and William Patrick Logan Maried a Lady Isabella Hume went to U.S.A. and their son David Logan was a General Sec In the Goverment I am led to belive. David had two other brothers that i know of William and James born 1670-90 I am sorry but i do not know were they lived James had two sons Willam and George Both Doctors George married a Deborah Norris.
There is an other John Logan born about 1662 in Lurgan N.I He married a girl called Margaret this couild be your John he may have lost his 1 st wife and re married out their it aws quite common.his father was a Grorge Logan born 1650s his wife wasa Cunningham his father was the formentioned William Logan my ggggggg grand father.
