My understanding is Mary Loftus was the dau of Adam Loftus (1533-1605) (there is tons of info. available on him) and Jane Pruden. Adam was son of Edward Loftus (ca 1500-1541).
Mary Loftus b 1590 in Rathfarnham, Dublin, Ireland. both of Mary's parents were from England and were living in Ireland when she was born. She married Englishman Charles Cosby(1585). She died soon after giving birth to son John B. Cosby. Charles took John to America when he was about 5. John had children: John, elizabeth, Margaret, Mary, Sarah, Charles, Philip, James.
