You wrote" Moses Johnson could not have been the son-in-law of John Collier,Sr and Mary Sowerby. John Sr died in 1676. Moses is named in the will of John Collier JR in 1732.
The Will of Moses Johnson - Nov 19 17 63
Probated Sussex Co VA Will Bk A pg 309,
which I'm sure you have, named his wife Mary, son William and wife,& their sons James & William;grandson David, son of Moses JR; son Moses Jr; son Lewis; daughterrs: Elizabeth Lofton, Mary Gilliam, Ann Gilliam, and Martha Gilliam wife of Anselm Gilliam; Lucy & Sarah; granddaughter Ann Gilliam daughter of Burwell Gilliam; And "Henry Harrison gent." (relationship not stated)
Witnessed by Thomas Gilliam, John King, and John Gilliam.
This means that Boddie was in error naming these women as daughters of Moses JR and stating that they were the ones who married Burwell, Anselm, and Unknown Gilliam.
John Collier JR had a son William, who is probably the Collier that married Sarah BRIGGS.
William4 COLLIER (John Jr3, John2, Thomas1), born abt. 1699 in Surry Co. VA; deceased Nov 1759 in Brunswick Co. VA . He married abt. 1730 in Surry Co. VA, Sarah BRIGGS, born abt. 1712 in Surry Co. VA; deceased bef. 1759 in Brunswick Co. VA.
The Briggs family were neighbors to the Colliers in the Cypress Swamp area of Surry Co. Samuel Briggs' will named his daughter as Sarah Collier ( Bk 8,pg 730, 21 Sep 1737). He also had sons named Howell and Nathaniel, as did William and Sarah Collier. These were not characteristically COLLIER names, so had to come from the wife's family.

Teresa, there's no way to argue with facts and documentation (properly srutinized).
The Elizabeth Lofton was the daughter of Cornelius, wasn't she?The will of Cornelius Lofton from 1735 mentions that Robert Webb and Sylvanus Stokes had built a bridge across the swamp.I don't know the connection between Robert Webb of Surry and Lofton, Stokes, and Johnson.Perhaps it was through his wife, who is unknown to us.
We have learned that the last wife that Robert, Jr., had children by was Elizabeth Judkins. The names of Patty, Prudence, and Amey Freeman appear on this will.Amey might have been the wife of Henry, Jr., who was godparent to Micajah Webb in 1741.She would have been a Gilliam by birth.I believe this is Robert Jr.'s will.
