Does anyone have any info on Jonas? He was born 1846, I believe in Marianna, Jackson county, Florida. His parents are William James Lofton/Loftin and Sarah Loyd/Lloyd. William also used his middle name James heavily so as not to be confused with his son William Charles.

William James and family and his son William Charles and his family lived in Monroe county, Alabama after William Charles married Abigail LAMBERT on 28 Sept 1856. Abigail's family lived in Monroe county and nearby counties. Abigail's mother is Lina "Lillie" Loftin wife of Alexander Wesley Lambert. Lina's name shows as Sinai on the 1860 census.

I have been trying to locate info for Jonas. Did he die in the Civil War? Did he change his name to John and move to Texas? If he served in the Civil war and lived what regiment? I could only find regiment info on his brother William Charles, my ancestor. (Alabama 42nd company A, Foster's)

If anyone has a Jonas, Jonah, or a John that might match I would love to share Loftin info with you.

Thank you.
