From what I've been told, Angelany LOFTIN was the daughter of Elkanah Loftin. I haven't pieced together many of the fragments of this family, but so far I have listed as Elkanah's children (unknown wives)

1st wife: unknown / children:
1. Winifred Loftin
2. Eli Loftin - m. Martha Jane Lowery
3. James Loftin
4. Andrew Loftin
5. Angelany "Laney" Loftin - m. Andrew Lowery
6. Nancy Loftin - m. Morris
7. Mary Loftin - m. Hales

Elkanah m. 2nd wife: Sarah Swinsom on 01 Sep 1823 Laurens Co, GA/ children:
8. Rachael Loftin
9. John Loftin - m. Hannah Cox: children were Samuel Loftin and John Loftin.

Our Lowery/Loftin descendants were in Jefferson County, GA, Laurens, Telfair,and surrounding counties.
There some information on the LDS site about Elkanah Loftin, but don't know what has been documented.
