Hi, I'm wondering if your Angelany Lofton/Loftin is the sister of my great great great grandfather William James Loftin who married Sarah Loyd. William was born in GA ab. 1800 and I've been trying to pinpoint the county. Laurens is high on the list as I know it was a southern county in GA because his children were born in Jackson county Fla. I suspect this connection because I have a Sarah Ann LOWERY b. ca. 1820 in GA who married Seaborn LAMBERT. Seaborn is the brother of my ancestor Alexander Wesley Lambert whose daughter Abigail married William Charles Loftin the son of William James Loftin and these two families were always marrying their cousins. Alexander's wife was Linai/Lillie Loftin. Seems the Lowery family was also in the mix. I've been trying to track down if Linai/Lillie, and William James and now your Angelany are actually siblings connected to this HUGE Lambert family by marriage. All families seem to originate in GA and ended up in Alabama. Sarah Ann LOWERY and her husband Seaborn LAMBERT moved to Arkansas to Ouachita county, he drowned in the Ouachita river but they managed to have 7 children. Sarah apparently died before him as he married a Mary FREDERICK and had two children by her.
