I received some information from my Aunt Verna today that may help me locate my great grandparents and their extended family tree.
Great Grandmother was ERNESTINE(Tina)SCHMIDT LOEHR Born 12-31-1864 in Blue Island, IL. She is one child from CHRISTOPHER SCHMIDT and THERESA COTT. She died 3-24-1954 in Chicago, IL Married to JOHN F LOEHR of Baden, Germany. There Children are Theresa Loehr Merkelbach, Ida Loehr Hildebrand, Allan Loehr, Caroline Margaret Loehr Crowl (my grandmother) and the late John f Loehr Jr, and the late Andrew Loehr. Her sister was Elizabeth Willig
My Aunt also sent me a newspaper clipping from the celebration of their 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration in Blue Island on Thanksgiving Day in 1935 at their home at 13439 S Francisco Ave in Blue Island, IL. Ernestine was from the SCHMIDT Family, one of Blue Island's oldest settlers.
