Peter & Margaretha Loehr (Texas)

Hi everyone.

I am a descendant of Peter and Margaretha Loehr. They were both born in Germany in 1806 and 1820, respectively. They arrived in New Orleans on 25 Nov. 1848 aboard the ship Seth Sprague which departed Antwerp. They settled in Washington County, Texas.

They had at least five children: Mary Jane (abt 1841), Caroline (1846), Louise (1853), Gustav (1855), and Roffine (1857). Roffine and Caroline married two brothers with the surname Stork.

I was hoping someone may have additional information on Peter and Margaretha, such as: (1) where in Germany did they come from? (2) what was Margaretha's maiden name? (3) who were their parents? and (4) is the surname properly spelled LOEHR (the spelling they used here in the U.S.) or LOHR (with an accent mark over the "o" as is written in the New Orleans passenger list)?

Thanks,

Jeff
