Sheryl,

In Pennsylvania we pronounce Lohr(with the two dots over the O) Loor, as in Moor, More, or Moore. In all of the genealogical documents that I have accumulated from Germany on my Ancestors it is either spelled with the two dots or without dots, never OE.
However, when my Ancestors came to America in 1852 one of them chose to use the Loehr spelling. That seemed odd to me, that is why I wanted know how to pronounce Loehr.
