Obit: Jimmy Dale Loden
MARIETTA, MS – Jimmy Dale Loden, 72, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013. He was born Nov. 30, 1940, to Iven Loden and Lona Lesley Loden. He retired from Marietta Butane after many years of service. He was a member of Marietta United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, going to church, visiting with family and friends and babysitting his grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 31, 2013, at Marietta United Methodist Church with burial in Marietta Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home of Fulton was in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Loden of Marietta; three sons, Kip and Julie Loden of Madison, Jason “Tug” and Missy Loden of Marietta, Bronson “Weasel” and Teresa Loden of Marietta;granddaughters, Crissen and Neon Shive of Mandeville, La., Bethany Loden of Starkville, Libby and Ivy Alice Loden of Marietta, Olivia Loden of Marietta; grandson, Blake Loden of Marietta; great-granddaughter, Lilah Dimple Shive; sister, Peggy and James Stockton of Fulton; brother, Don and Cam Loden of Mantachie; sisters-in-law, Nan and Jim Long of Mantachie, Bonnie Sheffield of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Iven Loden; his mother, Lona Loden; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Varnell Sheffield; and a brother-in-law, William “Pookie” Sheffield.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Wilburn, Gerald Lesley, Charles Lesley, Gaylord Loden, Buddy Stovall, Tim Trulove, Neon Shive, Jim Long, Johnny Long and Gary Loague.
