John B. was born 1788 in either New York or Connecticut (censuses down the line list both), d. Sept. 19, 1863 in Tower Hill, Shelby County, Ill.The brothers we know about are George (no birthdate) and Stephen Henry, b. 1795. Their parents are Henry Lockwood and Amelia Short; she died 1795. We do not know if Henry migrated to Illinois. All we have listed as siblings are two sisters, no names; parents of Henry and the girls are Nathaniel Lockwood and Ruth Knapps...IF James Joseph is a brother to Henry and married in Fayette County, that neighboring county south originally included Shelby and the possibility is there. See if the other ancestral names fit in with the line you are researching.
