Richard: You are causing me to straighten out some of the very confusing data I have collected about Lockmans. I will see what I can find out about Frederick from a Civil War web site. I am pretty sure the Lockmans came to New Jersey from Staten Island, where they were quite prominent Loyalists during the Revolutionary War, before that from France under the name Lacquerman. I have about fifteen pages of material with handwritten notes which I will try to straighten out and let you know. One good source has been the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) and their Family History Centers. Bernie Boylan
