I don't think we have a connection unless there is one further back in Virginia. My Great Great Grandfather Thomas Lockhart was born in 1806 in Blount Co., TN.His dad was Charles Lockhart who was born about 1778 in Rockbridge Co., VA.Charles' father was also named Thomas Lockhart and Charles was his only son. This Thomas died of wounds received at the Revolutionary War battle called Cowpens in South Carolina.I have know earlier info on my line of Lockharts.Charles moved to Morgan Co., AL abt 1810 and his son Thomas moved to Walker Co., AL abt 1850.One of Thomas' brothers, Samuel, moved to Tyler Co., TX in 1849.
