My grandparents' last name is Glaub.Mathias has passed on, but Anna lives in New York. She is doing her life story.I am her granddaughter. She has so many wonderful things to say about John Locker and his wife. They helped them in so many ways when they came to America and feel so blessed to have been sponsored by them. When I hear the stories I always wish I could have met them and let them know how kindness has spread through the generations and has never been forgotten. There is also a Lady, Mrs. Cambpell.Mathias and Anna had a daughter and a son.Mrs. Campbell bought them Christmas gifts their first Christmas in Ameria.I still have some play dishes from Mrs. Campbell. These were the first Christmas gifts my my mom ever received. She was about 9 years old at the time.
I guess if it's possible, please just pass this information on to Mrs. Locker. Her and her families kindness and generosity (they also paid the Catholic Charities bill for my grandparents' trip over to America) is forever remembered and has been passed down to the grandchildren and great grandchildren of Mathias and Anna Glaub.
