The death of Amos Locke took place early this morning after a few weeks very severe illness. He made a brave battle for life but a weak heart added to other diseases made the struggle uneven. Locke, lived in the old homestead on the land adjoining the late residence of deceased. In the span of life allotted t him Mr. Locke has made many friends and lived a worthy life. Engaging in the painters and paper-hanging trade, he has gained the name of a first class workman and good citizen. Besides his immediate family he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Langston, Mrs. Breese and Mrs. Fred Smith, all of Geneva, and a brother, Charles Locke of Kansas. Funeral Sunday afternoon at the house at 2 o'clock. (Posted as a courtesy, not related.)
