Virginia was born 1839 in La Porte Cty., IN. Married Locke in 1854 in IN. He left during the 1860s (maybe to Civil War?) but she is shown as Head of Household in the 1870 Census of Brownville, Nehama, NE. In the 1880 Census of Union, Monroe, WV, she is shown living with a Nickell relative. Does anyone have info on her death? She was shown as being 42 in 1880, which is correct. I know there must be some Nickell relatives who would know of her host,
John Anderson Nickell and his wife, Mary J. Patton. They are buried in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sinks Grove. I am so tired of trying to find her death and burial spot. I need it to fill out my Nickell Chart. Thank you! Helen Nickell Fisk, great -granddaughter of Virginia's father, a native of Monroe Cty., when it was still Virginia. His name was Claiborne Henderson Nickell, son of Cap't Andrew Nickell of Virginia.
