I am trying to find the origins of a Sarah Locke,who married John Ward,who joined the Royal Staff Corps in Hythe,Kent in Jan 1818. They had children Elizabeth(1818) John (1822),William(1824)in Hythe and then Samuel(at sea) and James in Australia. I have found a marriage in IGI of a Sarah Lock to John Ward on 2nd Dec 1817 in Titchfield, Hampshire and wonder if this could be the same couple. Sarah was born c.1800 and died in 1846 in Parramatta, NSW. Does anyone have any knowledge of Lock/es in Hampshire, particularly Titchfield or of this family's origins.
