Thank you Brenda for replying.I was wondering if you had documentation that Elizabeth Locke definitely was a Hardaway. The reason I ask is that I am trying to find parents for John Mays who married as his second wife Elizabeth Hamblin and who died in Mecklenburg Co in 1800.From an earlier marriage(s) he had sons Bozman and Stith Mayes.Robert Mayes who married Agnes Thweatt Locke was the son of Matthew Mayes and Martha Chappell Mayes.Matthew apparently had a brother John, and maybe a Daniel Mayes.I am trying to find if his mother connects to these Stith/Hardaways.
