Is it just me or do the two links to previous posts now come up as 404 - Not Found??? Very strange. I can't confer with the original post but I believe it said her pension was applied for under her married name and not her maiden name so that assumption is incorrect. If this Amanda is 100% indeed John Lockes daughter then the next question is how is he related to JWP Locke who was here and organized the Union League? Of all the counties in all the states in 1860s they just happened to be in the same sparsley populated county and not be related? I don't buy that. There has to be some connection somewhere. The same goes for the connection between Leander and JWP Locke. There is one, we just have to figure it out. This JWP Locke and his family "vanish" after the 1850 census and not one single person has him, his wife, or his 3 childrens names in any gedcom found online. Judging by the amount of posts in Lock and Locke genforums, I would think all of the Lockes would be accounted for, especially for a certain family that last appeared in a census 153 years ago! Myself and at least 2 others are running searches trying to find anthing on this family and are coming up empty time and time and time again. Someone has to have something on this family that can help us out and solve this mystery. Where are you?
