Sorry I've not replied before this. Don't get on the internet too often...I have teenagers!
The family history book was published privately in Edinburgh in 1934. Most of it concerns the Lochs of Drylaw in Scotland and I don't know that it has categorically been proven that we are linked....so most of the book may not be really significant. My father (William Joseph) has an original and my cousin (Cedric John) did a lot of research back in about 1986 or so and put in an updated tree (an addendum at the back entitled the Family of LOCH of New South Wales and Queensland) and had copies printed for quite a few of us. He has the names of all the next generation - Christina mar Thomas Patterson and then Thomas Burke , Adam died 1859, Janet mar Peter Duff (died 1930 at Emerald), Agnes mar John Fogarty (died 26/4/1934), Thomas mar Ann Smith (died 1915), Daniel mar Mary Ann Fogarty & then (died 30/1/1869), (a name which is down the spine of the book - can't decipher at the mo), John Loch mar Hectorine McClean (it appears poor John was married, impregnated his wife and was struck by lightning & died all in 1874 - busy year for the 23 yr old!), and finally Charles Loch mar Catherine Duffy and then Hermione Josephine Savage nee Krebs (a widow). This last one was my Great-grandfather. The family tree has the next two generations of Daniel, the one down the spine amd John, and Ced has continued another generation of Charles Loch's descendants. Confusion reigns at times because the same names were used over & over.....Laura, John, Charles, Daniel being firm favourites. I'll see if I can scan or copy the addendum if you like. Give me an address or email and I can send it.....can't promise when as my Dad is rather ill at the moment and my time is limited.
Cheers, from another cuz, Finella
