Hi Ralph

See my earlier followup - just before yours. Thomas and Christina actually had 9 children. They were:
Adam b 1840 died in 185? - fall from a horse
Christina b 184?
Jane b 1843
Agnes b 1843 Agnes and Janet were twins ( I think one of the twins died early )
Thomas b 1845
James b 1846 my gg grandfather
John b 1851
Charles b 1853
Daniel b 1847

Thomas Loch was baptised in Berwick, Lauder in 1809 the son of Thomas Loch and Janet Wallace

Haven't yet found Christina's birth record but I believe her father's name was Daniel and his wife's christian name was Christina. They came to Australia in 1837 on the Midlothian. They were Bounty immigrants. Thomas was a shepherd and Christina a dressmaker.

Thomas died in the Hunter Valley age 40 ( no more information ). He was the overseer of the AA Coy property at Goonoo Goonoo.

Hope this is useful. Are we related?

Gail Burke
