This message is for all Lloyd's who descend from John Lloyd and Prudence Emrey. A few weeks ago Ancestry posted images of records from the City of London. As we all know who have read Joseph Lloyd's letter, his father married in London and his wife and child died before 1725 at which time he made plans to come to America. I found a marriage record for the City of London from St. Botolph Aldgate, City of London-which fits quite well with the information that Joseph Lloyd left us. A John Lloyd married July 1723 to what looks like Rose Allin, Spinster.

I am not sure I am reading it right. The date and location are clear-the wife's name is not so clear. I would like everyone to either go to Ancestry and find the record or contact me and I will e mail the page. I would like to hear opinions about this.
