John or Frederick Lezotte
Posted by: Michele Date: November 04, 2000 at 17:40:09

Beginning research on my husbands family. I know John Dewey Lezotte b. 1898. His father was Frederick Lezotte and mother Helene Bristol. Family lore indicates that Frederick was a shipping boat captian on the Great Lakes. They were from WI and MI. Frederick also could have had as many as fives wives and not necessarily consecutively. I understand that all LeZotte's and the myraid of spellings originate from a common ancestor in France. Help?????

Interested in any information.

Thank you in advance.

Michele
