I am still not sure why you think they were from Dundee.

I searched a bit for the deaths of William and Elizabeth in Argyll. I found a William in 1872 (62 years old) but he had been married to an Anne McPherson (second wife). That was in Muckairn. A Campbell was a witness. This William seems to have been involved in fisheries. He was the son of Donald L (a tailor) and Ann McMillan. I suppose this is not him.
