Hi Janet,
I can send you a page personally, from Priscilla H. Cabell's book, "Turff and Twigg," which has a bit of information on John Livingston/Levingston/Le Vinston. - I believe he may also be in one or more of the several volumes of Colonial Wills and Deeds, Henrico Co., VA, by Benjamin Weisiger III (which I do not own, but have only seen at a library, and from which I have copied some pages). The only page that I have on this Levingston is copied in total in my previous posting on this board.
I will say that John Levingston may have originally owned the original patent for my Richard Dean's land (Patent #1047, in "The French Lands" - set off by Gov. Byrd for the Huguenot refugees, in 1700-). Also, he apparently had a connection to the Dupuy family, Huguenot, there in Henrico. This is interesting, as Richard Dean's son, Samuel, who inherited Richard's land,
sold it and moved to Newberry Plantation (Huguenot) in present day Rhode Island. DNA from my Dean line matches this Samuel Dean's descendants, and also jibes with what Ms. Cabell has in her book. I found the descendant, Silas Dean, living next to a Dupuy, in 1790 census of Newport, RI. Possibly you could also search there, for a Livingston, or variant spelling.
You also might want to google or go to the home page of "Huguenots of Manakintowne, VA"; this site has lots of info on many of those families who came there from France in the 1700's.
Please let me know if it is alright to send you the pages from the book; we cannot send attachments on this board.
Otis Fuller
