Seeking to corroborate if the following census data pertains to James S. Daniel who mar. Laura J. Livingston on 21 Dec 1882, Lamar Co., AL. Laura was the dau. of James (Thomas?) Livingston and Sarah Elizabeth Guerin Johnson. I am working on Livingston collateral lines. Thank you. patdakin@mindspring.com
1900 US Census, Texas, Milam County, Precinct 4, 17 July,
256-256- Daniel, James - head, b. Dec. 1853, age 46, married for 17 years, b. AL, parents b. MS, farmer, can read/write, rents farm free of mortgage, farm no. 256
Laura - wife, b. Mar. 1876, age 30, married for 17 years, mother of 6 children, only 5 children living, b. AL, parents b. AL, can read/write
Belvin - dau., b. Dec. 1884, age 15, b. AL, parents b. AL, can read/write
Tisha - dau., b. Nov. 1886, age 13, b. AL, parents b. AL, attended school for 2 months, can read/write
Ida - dau., b. Mar. 1889, age 11, attended school for 4 months, can read/write
Grover - son, b. Oct. 1892, age 7, b. AL, parents b. AL, attended school for 4 months, can read/write
Aurer? - son, b. Apr 1895, age 5, b. AL, parents b. AL
Note: It is obvious that the birth year and the age for Laura are incorrect; she was born about 1866, therefore her age would have been about age 34. Laura was age 4 on the 1870 census.

Grover - son, age 17, single, b. AL, parents b. MS, can read/write, attended school
Auror - son, age 14, single, b. AL, parents b. MS, can read/write, attended school
Malver - son, age 8, b. TX, parents b. MS, attended school, can read/write
Tulyer - dau., age 6, b. TX, parents b. MS
Note the discrepancy of James' birthplace and his wife's versus that in the 1900 census listed in the childrens' birthplaces. James is not shown as a widower, but Laura does not appear in the family group.
