I think this is the one I just wrote you about. There was still a house standing near this, and the man who owned the property where the old cemetery is said his sister lived in the old house. He called her and asked if I could come down and I got to go and go inside!!! She said about 50 years ago, three old ladies came by and said that had been their father or grandfather's house. One of them mentioned how they used to play marbles on the front porch. The lady that lives there now told me that about 20 years ago, she was planting some new flowers around the front porch and found some marbles.....she gave them to me. I was shaking with emotion - my family history is the most important thing to me except for my three granddaughters!! - thank you so much. I just remembered I purchased a Monroe Cty cemetery book - I need to get that out. I love it over there. If I didn't own my gr gr gr grandparents' old home place, I certainly would consider being over there soon. I now live in Orlando. What's funny is that my mom's folks lived in Rich Creek, so close to Peterstown - another place I love (when we went up for vacation in the summer from Orlando to see all the family, I fell in love at 16 with a boy from Peterstown) Love the whole area!
