My grandparents were from Shenyang. They were apple farmers, and were Manchurian, not Han Chinese. They moved the family in 1947 to Kaoshiung, Taiwan, because of the communists. I have distant cousins still in mainland China.

Does anyone have additional information on the Lius from Manchuria?
