(Not a relation) From the Hoisington (Kansas) Dispatch, Thursday April 17, 1980, page 2: GEORGE D. LITTRELL George D. Littrell, 81, died Saturday at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. Born Sept. 28, 1898, at Raton, N.M., he married Gladys M. Vandenberg March 27, 1921, at Pueblo, Colo. He was a retired railway clerk for Missouri Pacific and lived here since 1926. He was a member of First United Methodist church, postmaster of Masonic Lodge No. 331, Heritage Club, Kiwanis Club, past patron Una Chapter O.E.S., all of Hoisington; B.A.R.E.; Railway Clerk Association; National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees. Survivors: widow, of the home; son: Robert, Great Bend; half-sister: Mrs. Edwin Mass, Temple City, Calif.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Funeral was 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, with the Rev. Don Zook officiating. Burial was at Hoisington Cemetery.
