Can anyone please tell me why Dorothy Maud Littlefield who was born on 06 Nov 1900 in Algoma, Saskatchewan, Canada, was baptised on 11 April 1916 at St James Church, Shirley, Southampton, Hampshire, UK?
She was the daughter of Edward & Maud Littlefield nee Johnston whose address at the the time was The Bay Mills, Michigan, USA. Edward was a Mill Worker.
Was Dorothy over from USA with her parents visiting English relatives in the Southampton area?
This is possible because there were a lot of Littlefields living in Southampton at the time, but as far as I know, her nearest relatives lived in Liverpool, England.
If anyone can help solve this mystery please contact me.
