According to the book Men With Custer, here's the info about Van Bramer:

Charles Van Bramer
Rank: Private
Assigned: Company I
LBH: With Custer's column - killed
Born: September 1850, Canterbury, NH
Died: June 25, 1876

"Enlisted on January 3, 1872, at age 21 4/12, in Chicago by Captain Samuel Young. Previous occupation was laborer. He had gray eyes, dark hair, dark complexion and was 5'9 1/2" tall. Listed as Chas. Van Bramer on the battle monument. Listed elsewhere as Van Bramar and Von Bramer."
