William Ephraim Morris, Private Company M 7th Cavalry. Enlisted Sep 22 1875 at the age of 21 years and 4 months in Boston by Lt Henry Lawton. This would have made him born about June 1854.His previous occupation was salesman.Discharged at Fort Abraham Lincoln on Dec 11 1877 for disability as a Private of "worthless character".(Not bad considering his later life!) Was half brother of Byron L Tarbox, Company l, 7th Cav. Morris was later a judge in NYC and a Captain 69th Infantry Regt, NY National Guard. Married Sarah Abbie Dec 7 1879, had one child William E. jnr Aug 22 1880. Died NYC Nov 26 1933, buried in Kensico Cemetery, the Bronx. Hope this helps, Ron
