Joseph - I do not have documentation where the Little's lived in Scotland. Have been looking for them in ships passenger lists to determine when and where they arrived, also if they immigrated or were transported. Historically the Littles appear to have come from the Dumfries-Lockerbie and Eskdale-Langholm-Canobie area. I'm pretty sure the Littles in Union County are brothers, but have no proof. Jonas appears to be born in Scotland, but no proof yet. I checked my DAR books and they don't say where, just when. The SC Archives might know, since there is an audit number (Jonas Little, A.A.4614;X2973) Jonas, Joseph, John & William all served under Col Brandon in SC Militia. Have you seen any land deeds (sometimes they will say "...lately of Scotland," etc. I have not looked at any SC District or County records yet for any of the other brothers (I think of them as brothers, they could be cousins, I guess). I'm sorry to not be of more help. I'll be happy to share what I find as I'm researching, tho, and would be grateful for information on Jonas and the other brothers. I can e-mail you the names and addresses of two other George Little researchers; do not have e-mail addresses for them. however, I don't think they have been able to link to Scotland. The library at Moultrie GA may have Clan Little Society's genealogy records in their archives.- Thanks so much for writing, Mary Ann Incidentally, my Hill family in Wilkes Co GA is related to Welborn/Wellborns.
