I think I found your family in the census in Baltimore MD. Indexed as ??ams Blumenthal 61, Russia born Oct 1839, arrived 1887. (The first name looks like Lazarus to me)
wife Lena 38 born Jul 1861, Russia arrived 1890
Myer 18, born Apr 1882, arrived 1890.
Benjamin 16 Russia, b. Jan 1884, arrived 1890
Alice (I think this should of read Ellis, altho is listed as daughter) 11 Russia b. Jan 1889, arrived 1890
Morris 6, MD, born Dec 1893
Kate 13? MD, b. Jan 1887
Dora b. Jul 1891 MD
?Ratchel (Rose?) b. Dec 1899 MD
In the 1910 census, Lena is a widow, and now also has daughter Minnie 6. It appears her daughter Katherine is now married to a Harry 28, but his last name is not noted.
In 1930 Lena is living with her daughter Rose Krakow and her husband Louis, as well as granddaughter Harriett 3 born D.C. On the social security death index, there is a Rose Krakow, b. 11/21/1899 d. Feb 1990 Wash DC.
It's interesting that the Castle Garden web site shows an arrival of Lazarus Blumenthal 14 arrived 8/28/1865, from Pechberg Germany, but it does not say where he is going. I could not find him on the census, so wonder if this could be your relative, and perhaps he returned home and married.
If someone has access to the Baltimore MD passenger lists, maybe they could also look for his arrival.
