Marie, I appreciate your message. In the 1930 census he was listed on line 42. His father born Russia mother born France, but not their names. My brother Jimmie sent me his Army papers. He enlisted 7/24/1911 at Ft. Lincoln ND. hard to read, could be Nebraska. 14th regiment, infantry.Sent to Ft.George,Wa,7/23/1914. Reinlisted 10/13/1914 in the cavalry.Naturalized 9/26/1939 in Sturgis, SD. Married 5/23/1923 Sturgis, SD. to Iona Roxie Schriner. In my mother's papers I found a pic of Amy Minnick, circa 1920 looks about 30. Also, a pic of Geoge Minnick taken 1952. Sister & brother??.I also have a pic of Seth Bullock & his cowboys of 1905, Deadwood SD. with a J.H.Minnick, don't know if he is a relative. Originally I was told he was born on a boat in 1892, then I was told he was 12 when he arrived. I have no idea which is correct.Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
