In reference to the birthplace for Kazis, there is a town spelled Ariogala in the Raseinai district, near Kaunas. The word Mesta is likely Miestas. which means "town". Here is a web link to the Archives office. You can email them and request a record of birth on Kazys, which should show his mom's maiden name.
