A wonderful fellow researcher has just been able to determine that my Russian-Jewish family of DRATSCH/DRASH/DRATZ was from Serey/Sereje, Russia (now Seirijai, Lithuania). Isaac Dratsch (born about 1884; Isac Drash on his death certificate), son of Jacob, married Ester FRIEDMAN/FREEDMAN (born about 1854), daughter of Israel. They immigrated to NYC in 1884 and 1887. They had 10 children -- at least 2 were born in Serey. Anyone have any information on this family? Thanks so much.
