Hello Shannan:
I was excited to see your posting. My family name is Baranowski, but eventually, it changed to Bernosky -- so I was curious to see that some of your Baranowski family members also eventually ended up with the Bernosky surname.
My ggrandfather was Antoni Baranowski, born around 1871 and later came to the US around 1891.He settled in Shenandoah, PA, got married to my ggrandmother (Franciszka Burzycki), and had 4 sons and one daughter. His son, Michael, was my grandfather.
One key common link is that he seems to have come from the area around Wilno/ Vilnius, although ethnically, he considered himself to be Polish.
