Sherri,
1.Obituaries are found only in either the funeral home that handled the burial or in the local newspaper. You might try an online search of newspapers in Luzerne County.
2.Death certificates were definitely kept at this time. They were issued by local county authorities, so you would have to call or right Luzerne County vital records offices. While such certificates often have much useful information, it must be remembered that the source of that information was usually a spouse, adult child, or parent, who may or may not have had accurate information.
3. There are two sources for marriage records: the church at which the marriage ceremony was held (which assumes you know this); and, the county in which the license to marry was obtained.Again, Luzerne County offices would be the place to look.If you find either record, you will be able to find the other more easily. Also, marriage records were very good sources for information about the parents and/or places of birth of the couple.
To my knowledge, none of these records are available online. The closer you can get to the actual dates of these events, the easier it will be for you (or someone else) to search.
