Tom,
Thank you for the quick response. I have all of his US Census records, funnel records, and death certificate. My problem is that I can't get past the US. I can gues by the records that he came to the Boston,MA some time after 1890. The spelling in the headings are all the possible ones on all the various documents. The countries came from various census records. They said Lithuania speaking Russian or Lithuanian. Vilinus, Lithuanian was the closes to any specific location I have. I could not get one birth certificate for any of their children born in Boston. It would help if I could get something on their eldest son John who was born in Lithuania but nothing seems to get me anywhere. He left the household by 1910 census.I have been starting forward moving backward for 20 years. They went by White in the US except when he died and was buried in 1917. My mom and Grandfather were only children. My Great-grandfather was close to my Mom but not his son. My grandfather was close to his grandmother but not his father. Thus, not a lot of family story history. My grandfather moved from boston to Seattle when my Mom was 5 years old. I keep thinking if I could get the spelling fixed I might get more documents. Thank you for your extremely generous offer about looking for records. I really appreciate that. Do you have any special formula for boston birth records in 1890-1905? I have written three times for records in the two achieve/records places and been limitedly successful with much time and frustration and nasty attitude. I have fairly reliable time frames but family loved to change around names( Middle name first, spelling change, etc.) I don't feel i can approach archieves in Lithuania without a pretty good spelling. How do the other names look for spelling? any guess as to nationality?
Thanks,
Marie
