The 2001 Lithuanian census list the village as having 18 inhabitants.
My guess is that the town with the nearest church would be to the southeast about 6 kilometers, Balbieris^kis.
The village was located in the Suwalki/Suvalkija gubernia (Russian for province) during the Russian occupation.
On some documents, Suwalki might be also recored as Russia Poland.
The Lithuanian archives in Vilnius may have church records for Balbieris^kis.
