I am the ggranddaughter of Annie Litherland. Litherlands were from Barton-on-Irwell, Salford area. Family were "fruitiers" -- wholesale fruit sellers. I have traced back to early 1800s. With one of the 'uncles' stating he was born in Wales. Annie married Henry Daniel Arlott who died at age 40. Annie remarried Charles Plant 1904. It appears she relinquished her rights to her children. Giving at least one fo them up for 'adoption' (Adoption wasn't legal in England until 1927) other children were raised by grandparents. Any connection? Happy to exchange information.
