I am looking for information on a John Mortz, b. 1850 in Germany, came to the US in 1873, died 1917 in Lawrence County, Illinois. He married an Amanda Litherland, daughter of Abner and Margaret. I believe there is a very good chance that they are the parents of a John Mortz who was born in 1890 and died in 1928 due to a fire at a refinery in Lawrenceville, IL. They are all buried at the Lawrenceville Cemetery, although in different plots. Any information either linking them or otherwise would be greatly appreciated.
