Someone has to be first on this forum...

As near as I can tell, our family of Orthodox Jewish Lites started an exodus from Korets in central Ukraine to the U.S.in 1904. Within a few years they changed their names to Lilly (I'm interested in learning why.) It occured to me recently that perhaps some had not changed their family names and still live here as Lites. (Some entered the US also as Lita or Liter) Although my family entered thru' NY, they all settled in Eastern Massachusetts.

I am interested in hearing from others who feel that they might be part of this family.
