Death of Joseph Liston
ca 1737 – July/August 1807

Joseph Liston was born on Ducks Creek, New Castle County, Delaware ca. 1737 and died August 1807 Washington County, Kentucky.

Proof:

See Will of George Liston Recorded Washington County Kentucky, Will Book A, Page 428, recorded December 1, 1806
“He recommends to his the said Chandler clear his father and family with minute directions how to act in paying and receiving his Debts”

See Administrators Account B66 & B67
George Liston Dec’d – Filed February 12, 1810 in Washington County Kentucky, Lines 23 and 24
“To pd Thos Turnham Ditto (proven Acct)…..10.”
“To helping Listons Dec’d father 8 Months & Burial expenses….1.0”

See Washington County Kentucky Tax List of 1807
“June 25 Joseph Liston 1 white male over 21”

Since George Liston is the son of Joseph Liston, “the father” referred to in his Will and Administrators Account is Joseph Liston.

After George’s death, the Turnham family and Chandler family helped Joseph and then buried him when he died 8 months later.

Joseph is listed alone on the June 25, 1807 Washington Co. Tax List page 20
