The William Lister who is of my line is son to my 5th great grandmother Mary Keys widow of William Keys( died 1796) She married Timothy Lister by 1796-8.This William Lister would have been born between 1797 and 1812 when Timothy Lister died leaving a son still a minor.

Kent County Delaware Guardian records (which are published) list these children.

Possibly the grandfather of this William is who is your ancestor?

It would not be my direct line...his mother is my direct ancestor, if that makes sense.
