Thankyou for your reply Wynona. The Ross Lipsett and Penelope you have listed sound promising. I was given information by a lady her in Queensland who had communicated with a Ross Lipsett who had researched the Lipsett and Shanklin families in Cashel Co Donegal in Ireland. I tried to contact Ross but by the dates you have, he had passed away before I received the information from Lois Lamming. As my husband is a descendant of Holmes Shanklin in Australia, I thought it would be great to make contact with descendants in Canada.

If you have a contact for Penelope Marks, I would most appreciate it as her hotmail email doesn't work for me, or you might pass on my email to Penny if at all possible.

I had begun to give up hope of a message reaching Penny. I would love to send a copy of the letter Ross sent, as she would know if it was his handwriting. Ross did say in the letter that he had decided to trace his family tree as he was the last male Lipsett in the line and wanted his grandchildren to know where the Lipsett's came from.

If you would like a copy of the information, please let me know and I'll forward it on.

Thanks again

Cheers

Lorraine Drew in Oz
