I have a studio photo with the following written on the back: (This is an exact quote)
"My Great-Uncle Ed Lippitt & wife Madge of Chillicothe, Ohio Music professor & composer of college. My grandmother Graham's brother."
I looked Ed Lippitt up on census records and found Edwin M. Lippitt and wife, Margaret W. In 1900 census they were living in Connersville, Fayette Co., Ind.; in 1910 in Chillicothe, Ross Co., Ohio with a daughter, Gladys (age 14); in 1920 in Center, Union Co., Ind. with same daughter (age 24). In 1900 Edwin's age is shown as 46, then in 1910 as 50, then in 1920 as 65 (some discrepancy there). Margaret's ages were 39, 46 and 59 (still questions). Ed's occupation, all three census records, is shown as a public school teacher of music.....not college as in note on back of photo.
